Cremation Option Details

We are partnered with the Hinsdale Pet Crematorium – the most trusted aftercare provider in Chicago. They have been operating since 1926 and uphold the same standards and certifications as human cremation facilities even though they are not required to do so as an animal-only cremation facility. We have access to their location at all hours and their operations are 100% transparent. We have utilized their crematorium for over 1000 pet cremations without a single issue.

For private cremations, your pet will be alone in a chamber without any other pets present, so you will receive all of their ashes and only your pet’s ashes. Your pet will receive a specific identification number and go through a certified process to ensure they are identified and tracked from the moment they enter the crematorium’s care. This advanced process guarantees your pet is not co-mingled with other animals and their ashes remain 100% in-tact.

The ashes are returned to you within 5 business days in a complimentary hard plastic urn with a white/gray marble design. You can either personally pick up the ashes at their facility located at 6400 S. Bentley Avenue Willowbrook, IL 60527 or you can have the ashes shipped to your home via USPS Priority Mail Express with signature confirmation for an added $40 fee. If you select to personally pick up the ashes, there is a showroom at the Hinsdale Pet Crematorium where you have the option to purchase from a variety of other upgraded urns, along with engraving options.

For communal/memorial cremations, your pet will be cremated with other animals and the resulting group of ashes are scattered in the butterfly garden at the Hinsdale Pet Cemetery. With this group cremation, no ashes are returned to you. However, you are welcome to visit the butterfly garden where ashes from communal cremations are treated with a mixture called “Let Your Love Grow,” which fosters the growth of many species of wildflowers and plants that attract several types of butterfly populations. The butterfly garden is a beautiful living memorial to honor your pet’s memory.
