Our vets carry all essential vaccinations your pet might need to protect against infectious diseases, including:

To increase comfort for your pet, we combine vaccines into one injection whenever possible. For our feline friends, we are proud to use all non-adjuvanted vaccines to decrease the risk of a malignant and often fatal cancer called injection site sarcoma (ISS) caused by cheaper vaccines that contain adjuvant.
For added safety, we vaccinate all dogs and cats in the tail or legs. Depending on each individual pet, we may also provide anti-inflammatory treatment post-vaccine to decrease vaccine reactions for even more added safety and comfort.

- Fecal/Heartworm Testing
In-Home Fecal & Heartworm Testing
Fecal exams enable our vets to determine if your pet has an intestinal parasite and identify the specific kind (roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, coccidia, or giardia), so we can prescribe the right medication to treat them. Heartworm testing screens your pet specifically for heartworms through a blood sample. For cats, we perform FeLV/FIV testing to screen for feline leukemia virus and feline immunodeficiency virus.

If your pet needs prescription or over-the-counter medications, your vet will either provide you with those medications during the visit or have them delivered to your door after the visit.

In-Home Nail Trims
We trim the nails for all of your furry friends – dogs, cats, and even bunnies. Since each animal reacts differently to getting their nails trimmed, we cater our approach to keep them comfortable. We also educate you with tricks you can use if you want to cut their own nails in the future, along with tips on how to handle their paws on a daily basis to get them more comfortable with nail trimming.

Our veterinarians carry state of the art portable ultrasound equipment, allowing them to perform ultrasound exams on your pet without you ever having to leave your home. We use low stress handling techniques to create a friendly fear free environment, which makes the ultrasound process as enjoyable as a belly rub.

Our vets can perform a urine test during any appointment to help screen your pet’s health and diagnose certain issues such as urinary tract infections, kidney disease, diabetes, or cystitis. With a portable ultrasound always on-hand, your vet can even collect a sterile sample directly from your pet’s bladder at anytime.

In-Home Behavior Consultations
Our vets can diagnose and treat common behavioral problems with your dog or cat, including aggression, separation anxiety, barking, chewing, digging, begging, chasing, jumping, biting, guarding, whining, howling, mounting, elimination disorders, and other compulsive behaviors or fears. After reviewing your pets history and observing their at-home behavior, your vet will provide their diagnosis.

In-Home Quality Of Life Consultation
To help determine the quality of life for your pet, you can schedule an in-home consultation where a veterinarian will provide an overview of your pet’s overall condition, outline any available treatment options and determine an objective quality of life score. They will offer more clarity on what you should do and greater reassurance for your decision during a time that is often very difficult and confusing. The consultation is typically 45-60 minutes to allow for a thorough discussion and ensure all of your questions are fully addressed. Our goal is to leave you feeling properly educated on your pet’s current condition, aware of any options we have to comfort your pet, prepared for the next steps, and comfortable with your decision.

You’ll receive a plan for your pet’s specialized care and guidance on how you can provide them with any daily treatments or ongoing care.

- Cremation
Cremation
For families who chose to care for their pet’s remains through cremation, we offer two options: private cremation or communal cremation. For a private cremation, your pet will be separated from any other animals and their cremains will be returned to you. For a communal cremation, your pet will be with other animals and their cremains are not returned.
We will transport your pet after they pass to Hinsdale Animal Cemetery & Crematory for all cremations. Our pet parents are free to visit the cemetery, get a tour of the crematorium or say a final goodbye in their grieving room.

As a memorial keepsake, we offer a clay paw print for you to keep after your final goodbye, along with a personalized glass jar containing a lock of your pet’s hair – free of charge.

We do NOT provide emergency care, services requiring sedation/anesthesia (surgery, dental work, etc.), radiographs, teeth brushing, grooming, ProHeart injections, intra-abdominal biopsies, anal gland abscesses, travel certificates, or labor/delivery. We also do NOT treat feral cats that cannot be touched, aggressive dogs who cannot be muzzled by their owner, or any animal besides dogs or cats including but not limited to birds, reptiles, farm animals or any other exotic species.
